I have to stress how much I simply adore Ashes to Ashes.
I have (at last) watched episode three- the one thing I ask my Dad to tape for me while in Austria and he bloody forgets- so am all up to date.
Gene Hunt is, as always, a legend. Seriously. Why am I attracted to this man? (And when I say attracted, I mean, you know, I'd swim through an ocean of thumb tacks to get a swipe at him) I am 16 years old for goodness sake, he is far too old and overweight and bitter for the likes of me. Although people often say I am a 29 year old trapped in this body, so maybe that's not so bad? Well, however much I deny it, I bloody LOVE the man and there is no stopping me now, oh no.
Alex, darling, at last you are begining to shine. (And WHERE can I find that jacket of hers? Bloody gorgeous) Episode 1- I didn't like her. She reminded me too much of Liz Hurley, who I detest, and her character I just found to be extremely WEAK. But I looked past this, when The Gene Genie arrived of course. I figured, 'it's just a bit of fun, ain't it?' and went from there. Now, I am pleased to say, Alex has certainly entered my good books. She just seemed to have a lot more...UMPH...in this episode. She stood her ground, she made me care about her fate. Keely is a bloody good actress, but the writers needed to give her more to chew on and I feel this episode did that.
I must flee as I am excited about Torchwood (They better bring Owen back, the bastards. Almost had a heart attack when that shot fired.) and am finally getting in a fic writing mood after a long month of nothing but school/work related stress.
Ruby :o)
